Shenyang is the provincial capital and largest city of Liaoning Province, as well as the largest city in Northeast China by urban population. According to the 2010 census, the city's urban area has 6.3 million inhabitants, while the total population of the Shenyang municipality is up to 8.1 million. Shenyang has hot summers, and dry, cold winters. The four seasons here are distinctive.

The Rosedale Shenyang campus, set within Northeastern University, is in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, in the north east of China. Northeastern University was Founded in 1923.
This sprawling campus is strategically situated in the political and economic centre of its region. It is under development as a high-tech academic hub and its facilities are extensive and well established.
