Stop or Before You Proceed Before you begin the summative activity, review the reading strategies for an informational text in the content section of Unit 3 Activity 3. It is important that you use these reading strategies to understand the content of the editorial in order to formulate your own opinion on the issue and develop ideas to support it.
It may be a good idea to also review activity 3 in this unit to focus on the process for writing a series of paragraphs expressing an opinion. Once again you will be expected to use the graphic organizer.
Once you feel ready to begin writing, move on to the Summative Assignment.
